that should go to Strayans…

Sure they do, my dreams of being a cleaner were dashed by the number of Chinese applicants for every job I went for. They’ll do just about anything because its better living here and having a crap job than living in Asia. They are also generally as conscientious about their jobs as anyone else is, they were invited here not to be some sort of lower strata of society but to be equal, they do not steal jobs they just do them, they and their children will learn to speak English plus speak their native tongue…Pauline, and I laugh at the idea, if you are reading this, you will never be able to speak English fluently (or proper).

When a new player comes to a rugby club they generally have to start at the bottom, show their skills and dedication, be the butt of “getting to know you” jokes. Once everyone knows them and it is apparent where they fit into the club as a player they are not stealing the position of a longer serving player by being promoted up a grade, they are a member of the club in equal standing as any other member. If they want to strive for the top then that is their right. A club that allowed no new players would surely wither and die, as Straya will if the ridiculous notions of the One Nation Party are not put to rest.

Dear Alex,

I am a Pisces being born on the 21st of February 78….about four months ago now I broke up with my ex-fiance Chris Matthews and I have always loved him. Is he just afraid of commitment and will we ever ever get back together. Is there anything I can do that would bring us back together???
Anne

Dear Anne,
I apologise for my tardiness in replying to your question but there has been a large amount of “Astral” static lately (I think it has been due to Saturn rising in Aries).  I can tell from your email that you do indeed love Chris very much and I think I am sensing that he still loves you as well but its like the song by Sting, (a Virgo), if you love somebody set them free…free, free, set them free.  However, if you cannot wait around wondering if he will ever come back to you there is something that might help to speed up his return.  It is often said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and this is particularly true if you can administer some form of love potion to the victim, I mean  loved one.  When I was studying at the School of Secrets in New Orleans, majoring in The Occult we were told of various cultures and societies that held great belief in the secret powers of different herbs, spices and roots.  I have since that time been fascinated by the power of roots.  A good root is worth more than most people can imagine, for instance the simple carrot, if properly prepared can help a person’s visual perception.  Unfortunately in our modern society roots have been tossed aside and trodden underfoot as people turn to other, more esoteric ways of influencing the cosmic fabric that binds us all to the great unknown.   I cannot advise you to drug Chris here but I can suggest that you may find a solution in a book on herbs, spices, roots and their powers easily obtainable from most good New Age bookshops.  If it is impractical to administer a love potion then smearing your body with the right blend of essential oils may rekindle his desire for you, a note of caution however, this will also kindle every other man in the vicinity’s desire so be careful how much you oil you smear on.  Hope this helps.

This suggests that if you were not born here you are somehow part of the problem facing this country. There is no empirical evidence to support this and if we look at rugby large amounts of evidence to suggest that not only do immigrants become good citizens but in representing their club, state or adopted country stand as shining examples of the virtues in all people that we admire. Where would Strayan rugby be without players like Topo Rodriguez, Willie Offengahue, Ilie Tabua, Toutai Kefu, Daniel Manu and the like?

And what chance of producing an all time great like David Campese, an Italian by descent without immigration? The empirical evidence would show that teams containing a majority of Anglo-Saxons (e.g. England) lose far more often than those with a more dynamic cultural and racial blend. This is not to say the English cannot be good at rugby but an example of how you can prove just about any half-witted theory if you make enough sweeping generalisations.
