For the first time in living memory, the King’s Old Boys’ Rugby Club is playing a full round of fixtures on the JS White Oval at the King’s School.

On July 10 from 10:15am we are playing Barker Old Boys’ – with 5 grades of rugby + Golden Oldies on show between 1:30 – 2:00pm.

We are inviting everyone who has ever played for and supported KOBS rugby to come along, have a few beers and enjoy the day. If you are in contact with past players who don’t know about the day, please let them know!

We are also holding the following premiership reunions on the day:

30 year Barraclough Cup (1980)

10 year Grose Cup (2000)

5 year Blunt Cup (2005)

What’s Happening:

  • Golden oldies game
  • Jumping castle for the kids
  • Prop relay race – judged by Wallaby Benn Robinson
  • Spit roast lamb & beef rolls
  • Free individual cheese plates for the ladies
  • Beer, wine & champagne
  • Raffles & Silent Auctions

The whole club is playing our postponed fixtures versus Hornsby this weekend. The venue is Waitara Oval. Kick off times are as follows:

Colts – 10:45am

4th grade – 12:00pm

3rd Grade – 12:55pm

2nd Grade – 2:00pm

1st Grade – 3:15pm

Colts and 4th grade will be playing their postponed fixtures against UNSW this Thursday night (10th June). The location is David Phillips Field, Daceyville (where we trialled earlier in the year). Times for these fixtures are as follows:

Colts vs UNSW – 7:00pm

4th grade vs UNSW – 8:15pm

The rest of the club will have training as usual at Wentworth Park. Colts will reserve for 4th grade at David Phillips Field.

The whole club is playing Hornsby this weekend at Waitara Oval. Normal kick-off times will apply. No one likes giving up a long weekend, but it’s one in all in when it happens, so please make yourself available to play.

All games are cancelled for tomorrow (June 5th) v St Ives.

Please don’t forget that there is a catch-up game next weekend (June 12th) v Hornsby at Waitara Oval.
