Congratulations to 1st grade, who defeated a tough Briars team 24 – 17 on Saturday to move into the Grand Final this weekend. The team resisted a traditional Briars comeback, staged either side of half time, to hang on and win a thrilling contest.
Unfortunately for both 3rd and 4th grade, they were unable to overcome Barker and Newport respectively and subsequently bowed out of the race on Saturday. Nothing short of their best efforts were on display as you would expect and both teams are a credit to the club.
1st grade kick off at 3pm (not 3:15pm) this Saturday 11th September at the T G Millner Field (Vimiera Rd, Eastwood). Barker and King’s are one a piece this season and King’s will work as hard as they can to avenge their narrow loss to Barker in the Barraclough Grand Final 2 years ago.
We look forward to seeing as many family, friends and supporters at T G Millner this Saturday!
