Cocktail Party

Our nuffy of a PM has decided the best way to save the economy is for you to get drunk at the KOBS cocktail party so use your stimulus cheque in the best way possible.

Organise a group of mates to go along as well. This is not a rugby only gig – there is plenty of room to bring firends and we definately want you to at least bring one girl – be it your wife, mistress, girlfriend, sister or mum.

I know I am banging on about this but it is our 1 big social event for the year and it will be a great night if we get a full house of 200.  To do that we will need to all bring a mate or two along. click here to book your ticket

As mentioned last night if you have not registered you are not insured. Click here to register

We are fast approaching the date where if you have not paid your fees you will not be selected – it is not fair to let your mates subsidise your footy. Again with the $900 hitting your account this week you have no excuse not to have paid your fees.

As the main field at Campbelltown has been closed for tomorrow’s games, there have been some minor changes to the game times for tomorrow. The final times are below:

1sts - 3:15pm
2nds – 2pm
3rds – 12:55pm
4ths – 12pm
Colts – 10:45am
5ths – 9:50am

The early bus will now leave Sydney Uni (Ross Street gates) at 7:30am, with the later bus leaving at 11am. Please don’t be late as it will only make other players late for their games. Attached is the bus list. If your name is not on this list or is on the wrong bus, please let me know ASAP.

Teams round 3

Bus Trip Campbelltown

3rd grade players, if you need major strapping try and make the first bus, otherwise Flica will not have time to fit you all in and get ready to play his game aswell. Flica is our physio for tomorrow, so 2nd grade players will also need to be organised for strapping. Has anyone else in the club been trained to strap shoulders, ankles, etc? I know Fadge can do ankles and some shoulders. Anyone else?

As its Anzac Day this saturday and we are playing at Campbelltown, I couldn’t personally think of a better time to have a bus trip. Below is the planned itinerary. Please let me know by return email ASAP if you are keen, and which bus you will be on. It should be an absolute belter of a night, so organise your leave passes, leave the kids at home and jump on board.

Game Times for Saturday are as follows:

1sts – 3:15pm
2nds – 2pm
3rds – 12:55pm
4ths – 12pm
5ths – 11am (Field 2)
Colts – 10:45am

We have organised two small buses to Campbelltown and one big bus on the way back. Both buses will depart from Sydney University, just inside the main gates on the corner of Ross St and Parramatta Rd (opposite Officeworks).

1st Bus – Colts, 4ths and 5ths
2nd Bus – 1sts, 2nds and 3rds
8:30am – First Bus Departs
11am – 2nd Bus Departs
5:30pm – After match speeches at the Campbelltown sponsor pub/club
6:30pm – Board the bus. Dont forget that this could be one of the greatest bus trips the club has seen in years. It will take well over an hour.

Cost – $30 return (incl. grog for the trip back)

Please let Campbell know ASAP email if you are keen, and which bus you will be on for the trip out to Campbelltown.

This is the major social event for the year – there is no ball this year.

It will be at Kit & Kaboodle (level 1 above Sugar Mill) in Kings Cross.

Cost is $95 and it includes cocktail food, beer, wine and champagne from 7pm – 11pm.

There will be a DJ ( Mike B – Frantic, Henry Afrika’s, Supertrash) and he will have a bloke playing sax along with him for part of the night.

Post 11pm we can stay in the club with no cover charge (usually $10) and it is open until 5am. It will be a cracker of a night so get online and get your tickets before they sell out (tickets are limited – this will sell out early)
