Put this in your diary today.
King’s Old Boy’s Rugby have our annual Ladies Day on Saturday April 18th at McKay Oval in Centennial Park.
Kickoff is at 9:30am and the games go through to 4:30pm.
That evening the plan is to head to The Royal Oak at Double Bay to watch the Waratahs and continue the festivities – for those with staying power I have a 1am date with Iguana Bar or Sugar Mill in Kings Cross, see you there.
On the day as with prior years we will have free champagne for the ladies supplied by Peterson’s Champagne House (sells for $25 a bottle) and beers & BBQ on sale for the boys.
We will have about $3k worth of prizes to be raffled etc.
Feel free to pass this on to your mates.
5th grade kick off at 9:50am – we are still looking for 3 or 4 players here – ring a few mates and see who is keen for a run.
Let me know on 0402 856374 if you have someone.
Ladies Day
It looks like a shower or 2 tonight before clearing for a cracker of a Ladies Day. Spread it far and wide – we have speant considerable amount of money on Free champagne for the Ladies and we need to make sure it is all worthwhile.
If you have not let Tom Smith know what raffle prize you have organised or are donating do it now. The raffle is how we will cover the costs of the day and you need to sort a prize out to support your club.
If you can’t get something donated go and buy a $30 bottle of wine an bring it along.
Registration & Fees
For those of you who still have not paid your registration fees online, give yourself a kick up the back side and log onto REGO PAGE HERE to confirm your payment by credit card or bring your money to Saturday’s game (Grade – $200 and Colts – $150) and give to either Matt Bonser, Ben Russell or Tom McFadyen. The club depends on your registration fees to provide you will an enjoyable social rugby experience, so don’t let us or your teammates down who have already paid.
Ladies Day – POSTPONED
Unfortunately we have had to postpone Ladies Day due to the expected rain on Saturday. The new date looks to be June 21 against Waverley. All games will still be played at McKay Oval (Centennial Park) and the bbq and bar facilities will operate as normal.
Ladies Night – This Saturday (Oak)
Don’t worry guys, the girls won’t miss out though as we have arranged a special Ladies Night to be held at the Royal Oak Hotel in Double Bay this Saturday. The festivities will begin from 5:30pm (Waratahs game live) and will continue all night.
All Ladies present will have the opportunity to purchase wristbands from myself for $20 which will give them a fine selection of Champagne, Red Wine and White Wine for the evening. There will also be some food platters provided by the Oak. The night will also double as the 2008 Season Launch for the club at the Oak, so round up the troops and spread the word around to ensure we get a good crew down for what should be a ripper of a night.
Raffle Prizes / Slient Auctions
Can everyone who has organised raffle prizes / auction items, please
bring these items to Saturday’s game as we will keep these in a safe
spot for you until June. Thank you for all of your efforts.
Anzac Day (Lest We Forget)
Anzac Day (next Friday) is always a day not to be missed on the Kobbies Social Calender and 2008 will be no different. We will begin the day with Lunch and 2-up at the Oak from Midday. From there we will visit the finest establishments that Paddington has to offer, settling in at the Royal Hotel in Paddington til late. Ladies are more than welcome to join us.
