See this week’s update below:
Last weekend was one of the gutsiest efforts I have ever been involved in at KOBs. We faced Hornsby on their Ladies Day, which always brings out the best in a club. Numbers at KOBs have been strong all season but this week there were a record number of injured and unavailable players. 3rd grade had a number of players backing up from 4s and went down valiantly in a close contest. Even more remarkable was 2nd grade who warmed up with just SIX players and went on to play outstanding rugby, beating Hornsby 27-15. 4th grade got across the line yet again with a scrappy win and 1st grade won a frustrating affair, playing for 20 minutes with 14 players after 2 yellow cards. These outstanding results have us sitting 300 points clear of Briars which is practically unassailable, without Briars having 2 upset 1st grade wins.
For most teams, we are playing for pride and developing combinations for next season. Fitness is still running on Tuesday nights and we have our sprint coach Geoff coming down again this Tuesday so don’t miss out. Thursday training will be on as always.
Plenty more to come here so standby!

The King’s School OBU Annual Dinner
This event is open to Old Boys’ of the school only, but is a fantastic networking event and opportunity to catch up with school friends. If you’d like to join a table with KOBs guys, email email@example.com or get in touch with Toby on facebook. Tickets are just $75 for graduates in 2006 or later and $95 for the rest.
There are a lot of injuries coming into the back end of the season so put the call out to all of the guys that have gone off the radar in the last few weeks as we need everyone we can get. Let your coaches know if you are in doubt and keep them in the loop on your progress:
